At GDO we promote positive energy in order to give our dogs a sense of security and positive vibes.  Because we take in rescue dogs, we don't always know their history and therefore need to assure them that they are now in a safe environment where they will be loved, fed and disciplined but most importantly loved and cared for.

Let's Work Together

VOLUNTEER!  When you are feeling down and need a little "pick me up", come and help the dogs - they in turn will help you.  You can enjoy the property by walking the dogs, help train them with small commands like sit, stay, lay down using a rewarding system or you can use your skills to help build various agility courses or brain storm with our staff on what the next project should be on the property. 

 

There are various ways of volunteering, from walking the dogs, bathing the dogs to donating your skills and knowledge from everything to dog training, promoting the importance of spaying/neutering your dog, to landscaping and grounds-keeping. There are many ways you can help build GDO become a natural oasis where peace and harmony is felt as soon as anyone, any dog walks through the GDO gates.

We assure you that the feeling you'll have after seeing a dog's appreciation, is like no other.  You will leave GDO with positive vibes, ready to conquer any obstacle that may come your way.

​Peanut & Kody are brothers and lived next door to each other.  Peanut joined GDO when their family moved and couldn't take him with them.   Kody's family could no longer keep him and so he joined the GDO family as well.  Now both brothers live and work together.
